Increased Precautions We're Taking in Response to COVID-19
As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventative measures we have put in place at Ohio Comprehensive Treatment Centers to keep our patients, their families, and our employees safe. All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

In adherence to the social distancing recommendations provided by the CDC, we have implemented strict protocols at our clinic to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

  • Patients who have active symptoms of illness or a fever of 100 degrees or higher must call ahead to arrange after-hours dosing.
  • The number of people allowed inside the building at any given time is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines.
  • The number of people waiting in line is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines, and those present must maintain a minimum distance of six feet from one another.
  • To maintain line restrictions, patients are asked to wait in their cars until direction is given.

For specific information regarding these changes and limitations, please contact us directly.

Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, on-site visitation is no longer allowed at Ohio Comprehensive Treatment Centers.

  • This restriction has been implemented in compliance with updated corporate and state regulations to further reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services are being vetted and may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

For specific information regarding these changes and limitations, please contact us directly.

CDC updates are consistently monitored to ensure that all guidance followed is based on the latest information released.

  • All staff has received infection prevention and control training.
  • Thorough disinfection and hygiene guidance has been provided.
  • Patient care supplies such as masks and hand sanitizer are being monitored and utilized.
  • Temperature and symptom screening protocols are in place for all patients and staff.
  • Cleaning service contracts have been reviewed for additional support.
  • Personal protective equipment items are routinely checked to ensure proper and secure storage.
  • CDC informational posters are on display to provide important reminders on proper infection prevention procedures.
  • We are in communication with our local health department to receive important community-specific updates.

The safety of our patients, their families, and our employees is our top priority, and we will remain steadfast in our efforts to reduce any risk associated with COVID-19.

The CDC has provided a list of easy tips that can help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Learn About Us

Canton Comprehensive Treatment Center offers personalized outpatient treatment for adult men and women, age 18 and above, who have been struggling with an addiction to prescription painkillers, heroin, morphine, and other opioids. Our services include therapeutic interventions and medication-assisted treatment. At Canton CTC, you will receive the effective, compassionate care that you need to end your opioid use and achieve long-term recovery from opioid addiction.

Our Treatment Therapies

Men and women who enter treatment at Canton CTC receive personalized services provided by a team of experienced and dedicated professionals.

When you choose to begin your recovery journey at Canton CTC, you’ll work closely with physicians, nurses, and counselors. Your team will identify the issues that have been preventing you from living a healthier and more productive life, and will provide the medical and therapeutic services that will empower you to successfully walk the path of long-term recovery from opioid addiction.

To enable you to end your opioid use without experiencing the distress of withdrawal, a member of your treatment team will prescribe one of the following medications:

  • Subutex
  • Methadone

In addition to identifying which medication is best for you, your team will also work to determine your optimal dosage level. As with all elements of treatment at Canton CTC, you will be involved in this decision. Throughout your time in treatment with us, you’ll be expected and encouraged to take active ownership of your recovery. Part of this process involves collaborating with the other members of your treatment team on all medication-related decisions.

The medication that is included in your personalized treatment plan at Canton CTC will free you from the physical compulsion to use opioids. These medications interact with the receptors in your brain that are also triggered by opioids. When they are taken as directed by the prescribing physician, these medications prevent the onset of withdrawal symptoms without causing the disorienting high that results from opioid use. Thus, you’ll be able to drive a car, work, attend school, and otherwise function in a healthy manner.

Our Therapeutic Interventions

With your body freed from the impact of opioid use or withdrawal, you will be able to fully engage in therapy. The therapeutic component of your opioid treatment at Canton CTC will help you make the lifestyle changes that promote successful long-term abstinence from substance use.

At Canton CTC, we offer two types of therapy for men and women who are participating in medication-assisted opioid addiction treatment:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy

During individual therapy sessions, you’ll benefit from focused, one-on-one discussions with a trained professional who is familiar with your situation. During group sessions, you’ll have the chance to share your experiences, learn from the insights of others who are also recovering from opioid addiction, and practice healthy communication skills, all under the guidance of an experienced professional.

Together, the medical and therapeutic components of your personalized medication-assisted opioid addiction treatment at Canton CTC can prepare you to achieve and maintain long-term recovery.
